CELEBRATING WITH WOMEN & MARKING THE UN DAY FOR THE WOMAN

Today is the “International Women’s Day” a day specially set aside to celebrate women all over the world.

It has rightly been said that without the woman, human creation will be at a standstill. In fact, it will not just be on a spot but be boring and uninteresting. It is common knowledge that there is no area of life be it in sports, politics, management,  administration, research, invention, counselling, academics and education and active military etcetera that we do not have women who have distinguished themselves and worked their ways meritoriously to the top.

To set a day apart to celebrate women today is a completely worthy act of the United Nations. We also know that this great day will be differently commmmorated in different parts of the world with seminars, workshops, road-shows and other events as opportunities present themselves differently.

We at the Association of Christian Counsellors of Nigeria dare to say –

Be good to our women and protect them always.

Do not violate the rights of the woman.

Give equall opportunities to the woman.

Do not dehumanise the woman by any act, law, cultural or religious instructions.

It is the right of the woman to blosom and thrive.

We therefore join individuals, institutions, corporate organisations and governments all over the world to Mark and to celebrate our women.

We send out the goodwill messages today and say;

HAPPY CHEERS TO EVERY WOMAN AROUND THE WORLD
