UN WOMEN’S DAY, 2023

Woman!
Many lovely things are said of thee by men, but you rarely say these things to thyself!

In the six creative days of Genesis, God ends each day with a declaration that “It was good.” Then we come to the eight day, the day after the 7th day, and we find God having a rethink on the creation called man. “It is NOT GOOD that the man should be alone” He declared.

My creative imaginations often leave me in the woods and such times I look for one to lead me home. This passage left me in the wood many times. Once again today, I found the path out on a friend’s Facebook page. He said, “you often make the rough draft first, before the final copy. Man was made first as a rough draft, then came the perfection in woman!”

Imagine what would make Adam become a poet without a literature teacher – “Now, this is the flesh of my flesh, the bone of my bone! She shall be called Woman…”

God himself was impressed with the rhyme!
Women!
What will life be without you? The whole world with all its wealth and resources was not good enough for man until you arrived.

We often celebrate the achievements of the man, but rarely give a thought to the women who achieve more and are so comfortable in the shadow of their love. It is said that William Shakespeare had a good helping from his wife. We never hear of her. We are told that the greatness of Albert Einstein stemmed in part from the wise inputs of his wife.

You probably didn’t know that the car wiper was invented by a woman (Mary Andersen) who couldn’t bear the sight of her husband going out into the rain to wipe the windscreen in order to drive safely. (Men like to suffer sha! How can you invent a car and not think of a wiper?) The bulletproof vest was invented by a woman – Stephanie Kwolek – She was researching for a strong plastic for tires. (car again?)

Heddy Lamarr, invented the wireless communication technology that will evolve into wifi, GPS and Bluetooth to guide torpedoes. In 1974, Yvonne Brill invented the hydrazine resistojet that allows today’s satellites to be self-propelled.

If universities were ranked by the number of inventions they made, the mother of Thomas Edison would outrank more than 80% of the world’s universities because she homeschooled her son and his inventions stand tall in the world today.

You may not have a name in the world’s who is who, but be assured that we are glad you are in our world. You deserve to be praised, not just today but always.

They say there is a drop of greatness in every man, in DeepWords we say, there is a river of greatness in every woman!

“Many women have done wonderful things,
but you’ve outclassed them all!”
Charm can mislead and beauty soon fades.
The woman to be admired and praised
is the woman who lives in the Fear-of-GOD.
Give her everything she deserves!
Adorn her life with praises! (Prov 31:29-31 MSG)

Happy International Women’s Day to all DeepWords women!!!
